Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is a meme coin and NFT-hybrid token inspired by the non-playable character meme. It is an ERC20 token with a total supply equal to the human population as of July 26, 2023, and each token can be converted into an NFT at a 1:1 ratio. This design, called a meme fungible token (MFT), allows the token to be traded both on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap (as an ERC20) and on NFT marketplaces (as an ERC1155). The project aims to link the liquidity of ERC20 and ERC1155 markets, enabling larger communities to own NFTs. Users can switch between formats using the dApp, 'respawning' as an NFT or 'transforming' into a meme coin. The project was inspired by NFT AMMs like Sudoswap and aims to scale communities to millions using the ERC1155 standard. Future plans include a customization tool for NPCs and infrastructure to better link ERC20 and ERC1155 liquidity.
