It has interesting technical features, different from other consensus mechanisms and is built around four key principles: decentralized control, low latency, flexible trust, and asymptotic security. The project received a lot of media attention since the first release; in October 2017 the company announced the cooperation with IBM. Some successful blockchain startups conduced ICOs at the Stellar Platform; it has some advantages over Ethereum and other Smart Contract platforms.
