Bitget Token (BGB) is a decentralized token that serves as the primary token of the Morph blockchain, functioning as gas, governance, and payment token across the layer. Initially launched in 2021 as the platform token for the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet, BGB underwent a strategic partnership with the Morph chain in September 2025, after which the Morph Foundation, a non-profit decentralized organization, became solely responsible for its future development. BGB operates on Ethereum's blockchain using the ERC-20 standard and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus, with plans to migrate to the Morph chain. The initial supply is fixed at 2 billion tokens, with a burn mechanism to reduce total supply to 100 million.
