About Uniswap

UNI is the governance token for Uniswap, an Automated Market Maker (AMM) decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Ethereum blockchain. The token allows holders to participate in the governance of the protocol, including decisions on treasury usage and future upgrades through a governance vote.

  • UNI tokens were airdropped to past users of the Uniswap protocol in September 2020.
