About Chainlink

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that connects smart contracts with real-world data, solving the 'oracle problem' by providing a secure bridge for off-chain information. It operates through a network of independent nodes that fetch, validate, and aggregate data, delivering tamper-proof answers to smart contracts. Services include Data Feeds, CCIP for cross-chain communication, Automation, and Proof of Reserve. The LINK token is used to pay node operators, fund subscriptions, and incentivize network security via staking. Chainlink was co-founded in 2017 by Sergey Nazarov and Steve Ellis, with a $32 million ICO in September 2017.
