About Curve DAO

Curve DAO (CRV) is the governance token of Curve Finance, an Automated Market Maker (AMM) based Decentralised Exchange (DEX) focused on swapping between assets that are supposed to have the same value, such as stablecoins and wrapped tokens. Unlike general-purpose DEXs like Uniswap, Curve specializes in low-slippage trades for pegged assets. The platform supports yield-bearing tokens and offers liquidity providers multiple sources of yield: swap fees, underlying yield from yield-bearing tokens, and CRV token rewards. Curve operates across multiple blockchain ecosystems including Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and others.

• Curve Finance's 3CRV pool consists of DAI, USDT, and USDC stablecoins, with ratios determined by market supply and demand.
• Curve collaborated with Yearn Finance to release yUSD pools that included yDAI, yUSDT, yUSDC, and yTUSD.
• Liquidity providers in Curve pools can earn yield from three sources: swap fees, underlying yield-bearing token returns, and CRV farming rewards.
• Curve is designed to minimize slippage for trades between assets that are expected to have the same value, such as different stablecoins or wrapped versions of the same asset.
• CRV is used for governance within the Curve DAO, allowing holders to vote on protocol parameters and proposals.
