Kaspa is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency that was fair-launched in November 2021 with no pre-mine, pre-sale, or coin allocations, and is 100% community-managed. It aims to be the world's global sequencer for traditional finance and decentralized crypto markets by utilizing its BlockDAG consensus protocol, GHOSTDAG. Kaspa claims to be the world's fastest proof-of-work network, combining hard money principles, Bitcoin's security-first fundamentals, decentralization from rapid block rate mining, faster block speeds than any PoW or PoS network, and smart contract development through based-rollups without fragmented liquidity.
